Yes, but ideally there should be regulation to prevent pimping, predation, trafficking, and STI spread. At the very least, decriminalization protects sex workers from fear of prosecution preventing them from seeking healthcare, legal help, etc.

Trafficking is heinous, but it also gets irreverantly thrown around as a whataboutism by people who are against it for personal instead of rational reasons.

The root of the problems with sex work, as always, is tying means of survival to productivity, which I am against both personally and rationally :P

I currently hate my body and don’t feel comfortable dating until I like it again, as dating involves finding others who like your body (and other things about you, but still)

I’m sure there are people who would want to date me in my current body as well as my future (hopefully improved) body, but I just can’t summon any confidence while I feel like this.

Obviously there’s some mental health problems I need to work on too. I’m fortunate to have decent psychiatric care at this stage in my life and am slowly progressing in that area, and trying my damnedest to ramp up body improvement efforts.

I went to the gym today, at least. :)

When unloading the dishwasher’s silverware rack, just take the whole thing out and unceremoniously dump it out onto a towel on the counter. Makes a ruckus but beats taking flatware out one by one while bent over the dishwasher.

Also, pick up all of the same size fork or spoon, then hold them loosely while shaking your hands and they’ll naturally align into their proper nested position. Actually lots of identically shaped things will do this when gently shaken. I used to align nerf darts vertically in a bucket like this as a kid

Radioactive contamination: things don’t transfer the property of radioactivity to everything they touch and/or irradiate. If that were the case, the entire Earth universe would have become radioactive gray goo long, long ago.

When radiation workers talk about “contamination,” we mean radioactive compounds have physically transferred from one object onto/into another. For example, tools becoming contaminated with radioactive metal dust from equipment they touch, or clothing absorbing radioactive iodine gas from the air.

There is a form of radiation called neutron radiation that does make some formerly stable things (mainly metals) radioactive. This isn’t something you’re likely to encounter unless you’re a specific type of radiation worker, however.

This is mainly gear-grindy to me because the reason we don’t have gamma-sterilized produce in the US is completely unfounded fear that gamma irradiation “contaminates” everything it touches. So we could be having lovely fresh strawberries and peppers that last weeks longer than they usually do, but no, we can’t because rAdIaTiOn ScArY 🙄

there’s not really a way to know for sure but I imagine the price would actually come down somewhat due to removal of red tape and paperwork associated with drug control

for example amphetamine salt production is capped by the US DEA. if that cap were removed the supply would increase and the price might very well decrease

Most drugs should be over-the-counter. The especially dangerous or addictive ones maybe just require counselling with a pharmacist first. But I’m more concerned about people not able to access the medication they need than I am about idiots removing themselves from the gene pool by OD.

People in my dumbass country would rather 10 people with a genuine medical need suffer as long as 1 addict can’t get a fix, and it’s so many layers of bullshit.

Marble Blast!!

It was one of the first PC games I played as a kid. Incredibly simple mechanics: you are a marble and you roll and try to reach the finish line (sometimes you need collectibles first). But the level design was top notch. Perfect blend of challenging and rewarding.
