Bluetooth earphones will never achieve sound quality of a cabled earphone. So I use a cabled iem.

Latency is very much part of quality, if there is going to be lag during gaming or media playback. The experience/quality is degraded. Also, none of the wireless gear has bested wired gear till now, and wireless gear needs to be atleast 5-10x expensive than wired to have same or better audio quality.

But never? Maybe with some form of quantum entanglement we’ll have instant wireless. I’m no expert on the subject but just to say that there are always possibilities.

I doubt. The paradox is that insane amounts of power will be needed from battery to retain such technology, which is counterintuitive for a portable battery electronic device.

Practically, there is a single strand/channel through which wired power can be transmitted with nearly 0 wastage (pure copper etc.) but wireless tech needs to be radiated either in all directions (old protocols) or in a particular direction with broad enough beams (new protocols), none of which is less wasteful than wired.

You just need to achieve a sound quality which is pretty much undistinguishable. And current tech is already there. Blame the manufacturers for not using it.
