It’s extremely easy to have a fully featured desktop that is open source software only.
Open hardware is hard though.
Some call that “source available” and not open source.
I think they just mean they should have control over the modem. They are all locked down and proprietary with known backdoors throughout history, effectively bypassing any OS level security.
You can just like, say you do. I think a lot of people who check “Christian” in the US have little to no involvement in it beyond saying “thank God” occasionally.
On some distros its packaged, trivial. On others its not and annoying. How well it works depends on the exact usage.

Cars separate core functionality from the infotainment system. I’d fully expect foss infotainment to be significantly higher quality.

YouTube is insanely large in size and scope but…
The key is just a platform that actually pays creators.
Nebula is one I expect to succeed for its niche.
Something like Floatplane with direct subscriptions is an option too.
No car company is going to suddenly change plans, that would make no sense, especially when the government shows they are unreliable anyway.

For 100 million you are good but for more realistic amounts of money the value of it just goes down with time so it is a good idea to do something with it.
I think the behavior of hoarding is pretty human and there is a broader failure of inequality.
Only 70 million, just keep the money at that point not even worth the time to cash it.
Everything they do is open source, artificially holding back features doesn’t make sense.
