What about Windows 95? When I installed that, I was literally mindblown (only one of my computers ran it). Win 3.11 was awesome too.

I also liked Windows 98, Windows ME and XP (but, at the time, I did move to windows 2K fairly quickly). I did have a lot of ram compared to most others at this period too

Honestly, loved Vista too (had Ultimate). I was running various linux distros and Mac OS in between those periods too

However, what absolutely pissed me off, turned out to be in Windows 11, when every time I started my computer, Edge would open and would hijack all my Chrome tabs… Every single reboot…

3 days later, I bought a mac Studio. I absolutely despise Apple because of how they treat developers, resellers, users and everyone in general. The hardware also kind of sucks (like the Mac Studio is one of the most expensive computers I’ve bought, and the M2 chip doesn’t even support raytracing). However, I don’t think Safari has ever popped open.

Also, it seems Asahi has made a lot of progress. Linux has also made a lot of progress so ultimately, hopefully it works for my work applications eventually

They move because you don’t need to waste money managing them, and they have reliable backup

We used to host our own, but big providers are so cheap and have such a good interface that it doesn’t make sense to host our own.

It’s the same reason why most companies don’t host their own web servers.

Even large corporations use AWS or similar.

If you’ve ever argued with someone on Facebook, it’s the same. Because it doesn’t matter what you say, they’ll simply claim you are lying and it’s easy to make up bullshit. Coming up with facts, supporting them and recalling your policies is a lot harder.

Also, the policy is what matters. What matters is also that Biden obviously was doing the right thing. Just because he doesn’t scream at people doesn’t mean he’s not a good choice still.

Here in Australia I busted someone with a locked Facebook profile who apparently worked at a ford reseller lying about Kias EV9.

He did the whole laugh emoji and called me a stalker, but deleted his message a few minutes later (probably got a call from his employer who I tagged who was probably worried about the legal repercussions). I pointed out it was libel to lie like that
