I’ll always have Activision Classics disc for PS1, pitfall is safe.
Damn it how will I play my annual 20 minutes of Pitfall now. This is terrible.
I’ll just be honest, from my perspective on lemmy everything outside of porn, linux and shitposts is lacking. Interaction outside the top of hot is a wasteland of non-existence, questions go undiscovered, comments are never read. We could all be more generous with upvotes to improve visibility.
For me sfw art communities, sports, and life protips would all be nice to see grow. I miss the old photoshopbattles too, but I think that’s just fallen out of style in general.
Everything is wrong ahhhgghhghhhhh
The ideal process would allow creatives across the film, TV, music, and book industries to go to court, where they can request that internet service providers block access to websites with pirated content.
Surely the sites will actually have to host the content this time, right? Not just chasing harmless index files again?
Moustache seems generic for an id, maybe you meant to apply as .moustache? Let’s keep things consistent please
Edit: center also seems unnecessary, in the beta moustaches are already aligned as a child of .facial-hair
Oh, true! Perhaps someone could remind russki police of that next time they’re being arrested for holding a blank sheet of paper. Y’all sound dumb as hell.
Copilot isn’t wrong, they are the best person for the task. 🤷
I was admittedly being a bit of a smartass, I don’t actually think jellyfin is doing anything particularly special.
It’s free, it’s open source, it doesn’t try to upsell me or show me ads, it’s fast, it has personalized user accounts, it organizes and presents media beautifully and plays it flawlessly on whatever device I choose to use. For me, idk what more I could ask for from a media server.
EDIT: looking at Emby premier, seems $ provides hardware transcoding, native apps, downloading media for offline, cover arts, database backup, I guess this is stuff I take for granted. Jellyfin just includes it. If jellyfin couldn’t do transcoding or native app playback OOTB I don’t think I’d use it.
Edit2: for context I moved from kodi to jellyfin just a couple years ago, I wasn’t aware of it’s FOSS-fork relationship to Emby before now.
I’ve no experience with Emby but the fact you’re talking about ad workarounds and paywalls and subscriptions leads me to believe you owe yourself to at least try out jellyfin. It has none of that.
Fair enough, cutting out housing and food expenses would definitely go a long way, that’s easily the majority of my personal post-tax costs.
I’m glad those opportunities were available for you to get on your feet and built a cushion. My parents booted me out with 70k in student debt, though it’s been a decade and I’ve dug myself out of it and built a life, it still feels like there’s no escaping the treadmill.
How in the actual hell do you save 60% of your take home? Do you have an exceptionally well paying job? Single and living a ramen noodles and tent lifestyle? Would love to hear more because I can’t even fathom how an average person could achieve this level of saving. I struggle with saving just 20% after all the bills are paid, and I consider myself frugal. Sure I have a Netflix subscription, but I don’t go on vacations or carry a car note, my wardrobe is fruit of the loom package teeshirts and simple jeans, my PC is from 2016… What’s your secret?
You are wasting my time! I demand a refund, where is open source’s manager!?
“STEAL IT. Steal away. Steal and steal and steal some more and give it to all your friends.” - Trent Reznor, after record labels jacked up NIN album prices. Then later clarified the best quality rips were on Oink (rip 😢)
Fair enough, I suppose there’s still some kicking around the supply lines but kinda sounds like you won the modding lotto lol. If you’re not modding though I’d be a bit upset because the revisions have nearly doubled battery life.
Warranty is hardly a concern at this point right? Any v1 is well outside the year.

I use rsync with a systemd timer. When I first installed the backup drive it took a while to build the file system, but now every Monday it runs, finds the difference between source and target drive, and pulls just the changes down for backup. It’s pretty quick, doesn’t do any compression or anything like that.
