$244 million fine is what they’re looking at.
346 people have died on the 737 Max, that means they’re getting fined less than $1m for every life lost.
This is a joke, Boeing made $2.2bn last year, that’s $6 million a day.
Thats a little over 1 month of lost wages for killing 346 people.
Well it’s Russian infrastructure on Ukrainian land, who cares what it’s for?
The point is, enough of them said No that they didn’t have a choice but to let them do it.
Imagine what they could have done with an actual union to organize and coordinate their efforts.
About 3 years too late.
After a half decade of delays and several major issues, including it spinning out of control in space on it’s first test flight, and all the issues with literally anything else Boeing touches, I can’t see how they talked them into getting in it in the first place.
I’m pretty sure it hasn’t had a single fully successfully test flight yet so I’m surprised even NASA allowed it.
Catholicism, people still give a percentage of their paychecks to an autocrat of a foreign city state so he can tell them what God wants. You’d figure after 1,400 years people would figure out they were getting scammed.
That’s not too say protestant churches aren’t guilty of the same things, they just haven’t been at it as long.
A Truce and not a Treaty?
So Russia will get a break to regroup and in exchange Ukraine is expected to pull out of contested areas so Russia can get a running start on the rest of Ukraine when the truce falls apart?

Windows 10 will be in the same boat again in about a year and a half when Microsoft drops support.
Do you really want to have this fight a second time trying to get him to upgrade to Windows 11?
People who root for the tanks when pictures of tiananmen square are posted.
At the moment it has a pretty low (~0) person to person infection rate.
But, it does have a 56% mortality rate (Covid was between 3%-5%) so I don’t think we should be fucking around with our response to it.
Viruses can mutate and that R value (person to person transmission rate) can shoot up after a mutation.
I would much rather us have an “overblown” response than an inadequate response like we did with Covid. .
Anything is anonymous if you register with a fake name and email.
Parrots and Crows talk and we don’t employ them.
No, I would support it being locked to the national retirement age though, which would be 67 at the moment.
The 15% of a meal thing never made sense to me either. Does it take any more work to carry a $60 steak to a table than it does a $15 steak?
It’s not My job to pay some company’s employees a living wage when I don’t even make a living wage myself.
And if you recommend Discord as an alternative, it’s not the same.
I keep seeing people recommend discord as an alternative but it’s just chat rooms, If it’s an alternative for anything it’s ICQ.
Digg (a link aggregator very much like Reddit) started pulling similar shit and everyone left for the alternative, which was Reddit at the time.
After everybody left Digg, Reddit became the default and after about 15 years they are doing the same things that drove people away from Digg
The LG EnV2, that’s what I looked for in a flip phone.
Yes, it opened sideways instead of top to bottom but it was still a flip phone.
I still miss it sometimes, I wish someone would come out with a new version for Android, just the same simple front with only a physical number pad and a small screen, then have it open like a Samsung folding phone to a full screen Android display.
