Ban evasion for one. Creating 6 accounts is not the way. If a post doesn’t go the way you hope just move on. It’s not the end of the world, nor is it a reason to create half a dozen other accounts just to repost it again and/or complain about your ban.
If you do not like this, find an instance more accepting of your behavior. But Retrolemmy is not the place for you.
The first account was banned in retrospect after the first 3 seemingly didn’t care about community rules. Retrolemmy will not be the instance to house people who don’t adhere to the community rules. If you decide to turn a new leaf I am prepared to unban your first account.
I don’t click piped links myself, but some people find them useful.
As for tldr bot, it’s useful insofar it gets an idea across for wether I want to read the article, but leaves out a lot of information, often vital to the story, and leaves in fluff.
They aren’t perfect, but useful for some.
Well, most are run by 1 person or a small team. None have profits. Some have donation pages, and that’s it. So they are exempt by definition.
Sounds like you damaged one of the ribbon cables. They can be very fragile sometimes.
I’ll take greedy corporations for 500!
As far as I know, they do get dmca’d. But they delete a single file so it’s incomplete. But if you have 2 different newsgroup providers they usually didn’t delete the same file, so you can still download it.
But I could be totally wrong because I haven’t really looked into this, and this is all from a very old memory.
Might be unpopular, but as a non-English native I hate that Americans need to abbreviate everything into acronyms. POSTUS, SCOTUS, AWOL, ASAP. If it’s not catchy as an abbreviation it needs a new name. I don’t mind it so much in small settings, but when you read anything about America and all the comments are full of acronyms it’s like a puzzle I never asked for.
Shitting is better than working. Next question.
I lived before the internet. AMA
“He says that the company withdrew money that was already in his YouTube payments account.” this is the huge part not included in this summary. I don’t think an employer can withdraw money from an employee’s account. At least not in the EU.
But I’m not a lawyer.
There’s no money to get in users repairing or expanding their own devices. Fuck Apple. I’m glad all their hardware gets jailbroken quickly. Maybe one day the company realise it’s not a fight they can win. Until that day I will not be purchasing another apple device again.
Shameless selfplug:
Basically anything on retrolemmy.com.
Unfortunately the link is dead.
I’ve always wanted that too. Don’t worry, there are dozens of us. I used to DJ for a few SHOUTcast stations back in the day.
Send me a link, I’d be happy to check it out!
I’m sure the general game communities won’t mind you talking about new games. Or older games for that matter.
!dosgaming@retrolemmy.com is the only real community right now. Subscribing might help for visibility if you can’t see it.
You could always create an account if you like, it’s open registration. I try to run my populate bot regularly so /all is populated with most popular communities.
Maybe we need a law to know which laws to follow.
