How would we be able to tell?
the issue with God is that its presence equates power with morality
I can’t agree with this enough. My sister, a Christian, even agrees. Things are “good” and “bad” because god says they are, and for no other reason. And god is the highest good simply because he said that he is. The reason he gets to make those rules is that he’s the most powerful.

I’ll do you one better! Where is Jerma??
you still alive, friend?
Where were you, when everything was falling apart? And all my days were spent by the telephone–

Not ok as I thought I was before anyone asked. It’s been a long couple of years.
But my sister is home from college (~1000 miles away) for the holidays, and we’re getting together tomorrow. And in a few weeks I’ll be back to my regular schedule, at school and a job that I like. (It could be worse, and the last 6 months have been probably the brightest I’ve ever had, but it’s kind of a low bar. I’m pretty confident now that it’ll keep getting better from here, but I still feel suicidal sometimes, and isn’t that weird?)
But this was a really rad post to make, so thank you. I’m sure somebody else has probably asked already, but just in case, how about you OP? Are you okay?
Physical therapy changed my life. Not just that, but my PTs actually had knowledge and experience with my rare condition – more so than any doctor I’ve ever seen to this day. I’m sorry that hasn’t been your experience, but I assure you that there are serious PTs out there.
I will add, as someone with a connective tissue disorder, that a quick “pop” can help a subluxated/dislocated joint, but that’s something that can and should be done by an actual physician. And if someone has joints that are especially unstable (for example, bc of a connective tissue disorder), subluxations/dislocations can happen pretty regularly.
This is NOT a defense of chiropractors. And chiropractors are even more dangerous for people like me because it’s easier for them to seriously damage our joints. Go to a PCP, a rheumatologist, a physical therapist, it doesn’t matter, just go to a real doctor.
That’s a cool way to look at it! I got curious so I looked it up, and I found an interview with the guy who designed the logo, and he said it’s a myth.
Of course, I’ll add that there might be more to the story than that. IIRC the name was chosen before the logo, so this doesn’t rule out that the name itself was a reference to the bible story. Also, if it was, I kinda doubt that Apple would openly confirm it now, knowing it could cause them to lose some of their customers. 🤷
I was genuinely taught by my churh not to use apple products for this exact reason. The youth leaders went on a whole tangent about the symbolism. They thought Apple, the company, was trying to trick us all into satanism.
It was a little bit like that video of the lady preaching about Monster energy drinks. Oh, and you better believe they showed us all that video unironically.
But c’mon, at least Monster is supposed to be edgy. Apple is literally just an apple. Insanity, I tell you
Ikr! They wrote this masterpiece while actively dying, so I’m sure they’d have been a fantastic author if not for their untimely end

Bro just look down. Unless you’re an amputee, then idk
Really impressive that you typed this comment. RIP.
If not before, it is now
Hey, I use this app! It’s awesome. They also included lots of information about the air quality measurements, which I appreciated. For example:
