  • The bad news is that Android is still likely affected. Similar to Apple’s ImageIO, Android has a facility called the BitmapFactory that handles image decoding, and of course libwebp is supported. As of today, Android hasn’t released a security bulletin that includes a fix for CVE-2023-4863 – although the fix has been merged into AOSP. To put this in context: if this bug does affect Android, then it could potentially be turned into a remote exploit for apps like Signal and WhatsApp. I’d expect it to be fixed in the October bulletin.

    So a no-click device hack?

  • Do you have lots of cash to support the copyright and maintenance fees? The Web archive (I think, or another similar website) got sued for having knowledge and book contents on their website. You can’t just publish hacked books.

Most likely you would need a way to generate money for a “business”.

There would be some ways like advertising (can be OK, but not always the best, it depends on how many adds, how scummy ads, and how much tracking/data selling).

Donations? = pretty much no expected revenue. The amount of revenue you can get is very low.

Paid features, but what features could be paid while keeping free access?

Sadly not everywhere. On mobile it lacks behind. Even more on video content and low power cpus.

Chromium is slightly better in a way where I could clic on the video buttons without lag : On my android TV, (sideloaded) Firefox had issues with video buttons. So I tried using kiwi browser (for the extension support), and it worked well for buttons. The video wasn’t a lot smoother, but it just seemed maybe just slightly better.

  • I don’t use it because of mobile adblock only. There are multiple private chromium browsers which have mobile adblock, and also one supporting extensions : kiwi browser.

I use Firefox because it’s a competing engine to chromium, and it looks good.

I also have all the synced bookmarks from my PC Firefox, which I use for the same reason, and because I got used to it.

  • There are services open source or free closed source which are in need of donations.

VPNs do Not need your gratitude. The cost of running a VPN per user is extremely low (just look at the market prices to subscribe to a vpn). Even less for a for profit company. For vpn I would use one offering the best services for the needs at lower cost.

Making a donation to an open source or free service (which doesn’t try to scam you, or get your wallet) would require more effort, but bring more satisfaction because it would keep that open source useful project afloat.

Tho if you like a service and you need more from it, do pay for it. I’m not saying you shouldn’t.

  • Because you don’t wash them in a good way lol

Or because you have the worst clothes ever.

When you wash clothes look for the instructions at which temperature you need to wash them. If you can put them in a drier…

Dont let clothes dry in a dryer machine, only let them a bit, then let them dry on a drying rack or whatever it’s called. Careful with clothes which aren’t rated to go into the drier, use low temperature, and never let them a long time if you put them in a dryer machine.

If they seem chemical, or have a bad smell, check if the washing machine washes well, or use another program to wash them more, or a short program to wash them again, only with water.

Maybe try another detergent, or put less of it.

Also, if as other comments said, if you use a softener, try without.

  • Yeah it’s pretty easy to understand that the 84 is the professional reviews. I guess there aren’t just 64 people who put a comment, but 6190 who put a comment (from the image in the post).

The more professional reviews come out the more the score has a chance to go down compared to the first reviews if they were very high. And give some sort of average.

However profesional review scores don’t always align to what most users think, as people like different things, but also the users get very much bothered by a bad start. While the reviewers will give a score on the entire game.

  • Equalizer APO + Peace equalizer (as the interface) + AutoEq (for the automatic equalization).

It allows to change do advanced and automatic equalization on audio devices, being audio outputs or inputs as mics.

AutoEq is the automatic part. It is more focused on Headphones/earbuds/iems presets. It’s an automatic tool trying to equalize measured (by a compatible reviewer source, which is already in the database) headset to match the target the user wants, Then export a file for the software someone uses (peace for example).

As a common preset, the harman over-ear 2018/in-ear (depending on the device) is pretty good, but other presets are available too.
