  • And Israeli bots (probably IDF and Pro-Israelis too)

Seriously I just discovered this. Go search any random Gaza/Palestine/Israel post you will see -50 for someone saying “Israel has killed children and should stop killing children” and like +300 for “this article is so biased it’s taking about Israeli attacks but no mention of how Hamas is the real cause of this death”.

I’m not even going to bother to link because I want people to see for themselves rather than it looking like I’m selecting the worst if it.

This just seems women are more touchy about this stuff then men.

Someone called me out on reddit for using the word girls for women and it was sexist because it is infantising, and it was stupid because they were making out I don’t call men boys. When I absoultely do, in fact I do it more than the alternative. Really the only way I was sexist on that is that I don’t do it as much as I do with men so if anything I should do it more.

But you can’t win, someone’s always going to be offended

Started eating a shit tonne of rice.

Losing weight really isn’t that hard. It’s calories in verses calories out. If that doesn’t work, congratulations you are breaking the laws of thermodynamics and physics is changed forever.

I just took out some higher calorie food and ate a lot more chicken and rice and the weight dropped off kinda scary fast seeing as I was eating 4 meals a day. Ended up adding extra calories with eggs and was more comfortable with sauces.

Another time I took up surfing. Fucking hell surfing is hard, running 10 miles is easier. Increased my food load and ate a crap load more protein and just changed shape in a few months, lost the fat around my tummy and my shoulders grew huge.

  • At this level it’s not that much of a problem. As pointed out it’s capacity not production.

China has built huge numbers of HVDC power lines to move electricity around the country. Presumably their hydro is somewhat flexible. All their new coal plants are variable that’s somewhat of the reason why they are continuing to build new ones because they need the fast stop start. It’s basically what the rest of the world use gas for, but China use dirty coal instead.

People also look at renewables as if it is traditional power. It is absolutely not. Renewable power will be wasted at times and that’s okay, it’s actually most financially stable way of operating.

First you reduce fossil fuels plants/hydro to absorb the energy. Then you turn off fossil fuel plants for some time. Then you turn off renewables for a while. This is where somewhere like california/UK/Southern Australia is. At this point you still have expensive electricity at parts of the day but also really cheap (sometimes negative) electricity for significant parts of the year. Only then does it make sense to install batteries.

2024 is going to be huge for battery storage. Especially if the sodium ion batteries work as expected which they are expected to. But even with batteries not all energy will be stored.

  • A fighting game where you play an average Greek soldier on his way to becoming a hero.

It starts where you have to kill 5 enemies in a battle and you get promoted. Then you have to kill 10 etc.

You can upgrade your hero and the soldiers fighting under you. So you can choose to become a powerful lone hero or a hero and his men. If you don’t kill enough of the enemy you don’t advance. But if you go on a rampage and the battle is lost you also lose. Your performance influences the battle. So it might be that holding a bridge is more important than total kills for example.

  • It’s not whitewashing if your entire country was white for almost all its history.

Most non whites came over after ww2. It’s not racist to say their just really wasn’t that many historical black people. Forcing a narrative is stupid. This is why so many people have issues with wokeness.

Our kids don’t know enough about history anyway. That could be solved. But it doesn’t mean they should know about some random black guy that did almost nothing of note just because he is black. Plenty of people did almost nothing of note and we don’t know about them.
