  • I was in a sport team for a while and they hadn’t been treating me well for a while. One day, I slipped and fell during training. Instead of somebody helping me up, the majority of the team laughed at me. Something in my mind snapped that day and it nearly led to my first ever physical altercation. However, my punch just turned into a feint with the thought “fuck this, I’m out”.

That was the day I learned not to let things boil until they explode. Put me into any salad and I’m not the calmest cucumber, but I have never let things get that close again and always speak up or just straight up leave before getting too heated. Life’s just too short to stay in a bad situation you can get out of.

  • When on the fediverse, there’s a good chance someone will tell you to install linux. With this sort of question, honestly I guess there’s no way of knowing how much access they have if you logged on with your work account on your personal computer. IMO, you shouldn’t be using your personal computer for work stuff unless they are somehow separated. I have no idea how to do that with software, so the easiest is to ask my job to provide a laptop and only use that laptop for work.

  • The dumbest take possible of what I said.

But men also want to live.

we can celebrate hundreds of thousands of Ukrainians getting murdered

JFC, no wonder people block lemmy.ml users.

That damn lemmy.ml echo chamber where people continue parroting this extremist narration that it is not okay to murder people…

So your solution is to lets Russia invade and not resist. I’m sure nobody will be murdered or end up a gulag. No. People will just defenestrate themselves or die of natural causes with 2 shots to the back of the head. That’s what double action means, right?

Holy moly. It’s as if you didn’t have a slice of russian disinformation, you had the whole pie.

  • Shouldn’t have invested in Russia. It was a bad business decision and you have to live with the consequences. The article is written as if the West is to blame for the sanctions. The facts are very clear: Russia invaded.

The writing was on the wall for years. Ukraine warned the EU, the Baltics had been concerned for years, and these companies idiotically increased their investments in Russia. At the latest once the war started it should’ve been clear that exiting Russia was going to be necessary, if not forced.

Want to blame somebody? Blame Russia.
