Thanks! I was intending for it to be more of a shitpost, but I guess I’m not very good at those, it turns out

Lol whoops, I meant to give a wrong answer, my bad
My car is brown.
The first time I brought it home without telling my wife the color, she was unimpressed and said that it was “shart colored”.
We immediately named it “El Sharto”, and 5 years later the name has stuck
Mayo-fries on a pineapple pizza, is this the definition of Gourmet?
I’m in tech and have been lucky enough to work in a few departments with some laid back, chill people who don’t have egos and just want to do their work and go home.
A lunch a little while back featured 8 of us sitting around the table, and I realized that among us were two Muslims, a Hindu, two Protestants, a Catholic, and two Atheists; and we all got along famously, bonding over our mutual hatred and distrust of upper management.
I know that this isn’t a universal experience, but it’s nice to know that it’s possible. :)
Fave Movie: The Darjeeling Limited
I just like it, that’s all.
You have contributed nothing of value to this community, and need to rethink your entire approach.
First thing, try and breathe to see if the unknown new world has an atmosphere compatible with the one I’m accustomed to. If not, I guess I’m dead.
Second thing, determine if I’m in a wasteland / nature setting, or a civilized one.
Third, regardless of the answer to the second, take stock of my current resources and seek new ones. Water is highest priority, food second, shelter third.
My mother in law’s stories. She keeps repeating these stories over and over but we’ve all heard them a dozen times before and then when we say, “oh, we’ve heard this one” she takes it as encouragement to keep going
Words, possibly numbers, letters, punctuation, and maybe some symbols
Oooof, I hear that. Things are more political than ever at my work and it’s like, I just want to do my job and go home
Yup, Star Trek: Deep Space Nine theme song as my alarm, 5 years and counting
I’m already amazing at emails and summaries, I can write my own code but rarely need to outside my job, I don’t have a use case for translation, I don’t use my current phone assistant and can’t see myself using a “true” virtual assistant.
Got any better scenarios? Cuz all those use cases fill me with apathy.
May I inquire what you think we’ll be using it for?
I don’t care about AI.
It’s not because of posts like this; it’s not because of the endless hype cycle. It’s not because hundreds of billions are going into it and it’s not because everyone’s doing it; it’s all these things combined with the fact that I don’t have a use case for AI in my life. I don’t need AI’s sanitized, corporatized opinion on anything, and there’s nothing a chatbot can do that a human can’t do better.
But that’s just me. If you and others like it, Cool Beans.
That’s some hostile workplace kind of BS, and shouldn’t be tolerated. Document everything, names, dates, info etc.
