Having free and open source software is not enough for some people. The dev needs to publish it in a Foss platform, use a Foss operative system, a Foss ide, mild political views. Free, quality and high maintained software is not good enough these days. /s

It’s a Pine A64, with 2gb RAM. I wonder if it has enough power to run all those things. It’s a budget device from 8 years ago, probably gonna have a hard time but I’ll give it a try if I manage to find it!

I don’t agree with this. It creates a monetary barrier to starting a new channel. If uploading costs money the number of uploads is going to reduce considerably, no one likes to throw money away.
I’ve been on both sides of this table. Yes, I wish people would move away from WhatsApp but that’s not going to happen. They’re not going to even make an effort to begin to understand Signal just to talk to me. I could just not use WhatsApp and use Signal to talk to myself, that’d be fun.
I understand their frustration as well, people already have too many message apps already. WhatsApp, telegram, hangouts, SMS, Slack, Discord… When asked to install a new app they are naturally reluctant to install yet another messaging app just to talk to me and only me. I too have that one friend who bugs me every couple of months to install the new cool message app that is going around. Currently that SimpleX, wonder what comes next.
Proton drive is okay but if you rely on editing the docs online… That’s a rough one
In the last months I tried to cut as many Google services as I could. I use the Proton suite now, it’s nice.
Unfortunately I still heavily rely on them for Android phone and TVs… Not to mention YouTube, which is yet to have a good competitor.

I always thought pretty good was better than good. Honestly surprised to find out I may have been wrong my entire life.
It’s a corporate app so it’s harder to reach the actual end user.

I wish my costumers provided me with all their genuine feedback, all the things they hate about our app and why. All the things they wish it did but doesn’t. All the bugs they have found and never reported. Feedback is such a vital and scarce information

An option to migrate your account should be more than very very low priority, lemmy.ml is struggling hard. How many people are stuck in that server because they don’t want to abandon their data?

I played it and thought it was a good game but never felt the need for additional difficulty. Maybe because it was my first Dragon Quest game.
Pokemon has gotten insanely easier. Constant healing by friendly npcs, exp share from the start, rival picks a pokemon that is weak against yours… Remember when Gary was waiting at the end of a big cave and all your Pokemon were nearly dead? XD
I’d like a hard mode and a way to toggle exp share off.
A couple of years ago, in Portugal, there were more couples looking to adopt than “viable” children up for adoption. While your statement makes total sense, it may be a insensible option on your country. Make due research!
